Hello everybody, I am very excited about the revival of Blue Planet! There is one thing that really has been bugging me since the first edition of BP: "Böse Strand". This is mighty pidgin German: Please call ist "Böser Strand" in the new edition - well call it something else. "Böser Strand" sounds really funny for Germans. Yes, "böse" means "bad, evil", but in a context like this, it really translate to "naughty". And now imagine such a big, bad badass megacorp like Hannover Industries calling some place "naughty beach" (oh, it is so naughty, naughty, naughty ). Better alternatives IMHO: "Höllenstrand" (hell beach), "elender Strand" (miserable beach - and this is actually quite poetic - like a place a 17th century pirate crew might call it), "grausiger Strand" (gruesome beach, well, that might overdo it a bit). Please change it, it makes me wince.

Hahaha, this gave me a good laugh! Thanks for that! Naughty Beach has a rather distinctive sound to it. I can imagine some Incorporate States having enough dry black humour to call their max sec prison that, but not sure if Hanover Security Services are capable of humour. I'll relay your feedback further, mate.

(And if "Dyfedd" is meant to be Welsh, it's pronounced like "Duvv-eth", not "Dye-fed". Sorry, had to get that off my chest.)

As a German (who also happens to be a translator), I'd suggest "Strand des Bösen" ("Beach of Evil") if you want to get full-on portentous. That way, you'd get rid of the "naughty" connotation; as a noun, "das Böse" (of which "des Bösen" is an inflected form) always signifies Evil with a capital E as in "Sauron".

Adding this to the edit suggestions for Biohazard consideration.

Hey guys,
Many thanks for your suggestions. Looks like Strand Des Bosen will be the new name for our favourite max security prison.
