If you're interested in an online game, I've posted a thread for expressing an interest. Comment there if you'd like to join. Posting here to pop it in notifications! I can not find the thread you mentioned. Could you give the link please? Thank you!

I'm Barsook from Cincinnati, Ohio. TV Tropes site introduced me to Upwind because I was looking at the "Sky is the Sea" trope for my D&D campaign setting. I plan to run the Upwind "Bait and Swing" one-shot with the local Meetup group that we have in a month or two. Hopefully I can get players into playing a campaign where I play rather than run.

Unfortunately, the Upwind section of the forum isn't very active these days, but you're more than welcome to post there and hopefully this will reinvigorate some of the members there.

Hi, I'm Jens from the EU/Germany/Lower Saxony/Hanover.
Years (and years) back, someone tried twice to start a Blue Planet campaign. Both did not go far, but the setting stayed with me.
I'm really curious about the new version - even I completely missed this thing happening up until now
Apart from that: science fiction fan since before I was ten. Roleplaying since my late twenties. Sadly not a lot of scifi so far: Some homebrew setting and system of a friend and now a heavily modified Cyberpunk game set on Mars by another friend. Otherwise: Mostly Legend of the Five Rings, GURPS and D&D (my second least favorite rpg system after Ars Magica - but the one I've played the second-most due to availabilty of groups). Blue Planet is actually ht eone where I'm really tempted to start GMing.
Cheers, Jens

Welcome to the forums, Jens! You're right on time - late pledges for the new edition will be opening very soon. From the production previews we've seen, the Recontact edition is everything we love about Blue Planet, plus a whole lot of updates and changes for the better! Some true RPG classics out there! I play L5R quite a lot. I do very much hope the new, shiny Blue Planet books will get you to GM. Nothing beats GMing! Well, apart from occasionally being a player, of course.

Willkommen Jens!
BP is quite sandboxy, so it is essential to know what your players want to play. Otherwise I found it quite easy to GM.
