Adams is an explorer of medium reputation, he have participated in a few shows and videos on the platforms and have a couple of million of followers.
One day his rescue raft is found by an ERT team (the PCs?) and he claims his ship stuck a reef and he had to abandon it. He and any remaining surviving crew members are exhausted from the ordeal and are quite happy to return to Haven. They don't say much about their adventure at sea but as soon as they can they make all kinds of attempts to get off Poseidon as quickly as possible.
What found them in the depths and what transpired there?
This was inspired by a "writing prompt" that passed in my flow. I don't know who originally wrote it but it was about NASA and why they haven't explored Earth's seas but are so eager to leave the planet.
