I love the idea of Dread Margit and the spin on the pirating by her, it's reminds me of the Blue Rouges from Skies of Arcadia! Anyhow, question, how recent is recent that she started to pirate? Would there be enough time for someone from her community to get through their Novice Festival and be a part of the Knights of this One Shot?

I think that's entirely up to you! I could be that she's only been operating just over half a cycle, it could be that she's been going for cycles and cycles, so plenty of time for young Knights to grow up with her "always" being around.
A lot of the background is there as inspiration rather than something fixed in stone. I think Jeff's intent is to use what's in the book as a springboard rather than a straitjacket.
