Hey, fellow mammals! Feast your eyes on this gorgeous vista of Second Try! As you can see, the Wetlands now looks to be at the entrance of the Barker's Gorge, rather than being encompassed by it. I imagine Lake Ibrium still dominates the central part of the settlement, and the perspective here simply doesn't show it much.

It's a great image! The regular shoreline of the Wetlands suggests it's been landscaped, perhaps with lots of land reclaimed for farming.

The art in this new edition is just going to be off the chain. I can't wait to see my favorite exosolar planet rendered in vivid color. I admit fully it's kind of wild in a way, seeing not just this new art but the new style of everything. I always imagined the urbanscapes of Poseidon more....cyberpunk dystopian, at least in my games back when. It's really refreshing to see this bright new take. I like it better.

A good RPG illustration should be evocative, immersive. This one is amazing!! It showcases the unique appeal of Blue Planet tech/architecture. I was so happy when I saw it. <3 Second Try is one of my favourite locations on Poseidon.

It's nice to see Posiedion be it's own thing. It's not the rain-soaked, dark streets of Blade Runner. I like the art that brings out the "topical island paradise" side of the setting.

I was so happy when I saw it. <3 Second Try is one of my favourite locations on Poseidon. Tell us more! What's so great about Second Try? Why should our PCs visit there, and why should we set games there? Right, let's see. Second Try is at the same time one of the biggest towns (though far from the Haven>Harmony>Cliffside podium) on the archipelago, and an emergent, dynamic settlement overshadowed by a much bigger neighbour. It has the largest ratio of natives to newcomers (10%) for any major settlement, giving us an interesting playground for social dynamics, which in other towns can be perhaps slightly more one-sided (on the native/newcomer front). The town doesn't have a well defined central government and though Incorporate players are present, they do not dominate the scene. Gentrification is literally vertical here, and getting worse with the ongoing influx of newcomers (like everywhere else, of course) - but in Second Try natives are simply too numerous (for now) for things to play out the same way as they did in other settlements. And, of course, the settlement's layout is so captivating, so sci-fi and unique. Instantly memorable. Iconic! Yes, I'm a big fan. My main character likes to avoid the "Haven premium".
